Out Of Ashes We Rise

| Architecture · Sustainability

I love hearing stories of how someone took a disaster and transformed it into a stunning example of beauty and wisdom.  Who doesn’t, right? We all go through tough times. Sometimes pretty disastrous times. But for an artist like architect Renee del Gaudio, the wildfire that burned her family’s four-and-a-half acre plot in Boulder inspired her to build a sustainable, fire-resistant home on that land. She sets a great example for us all.

This house tour on Dwell.com details the labor of love that went into building her Sunshine Canyon property.
